eBlitz, connect your gaming family no matter where you are.

Going into gaming sometimes we go at it alone. We start off with solo,1 player game but eventually we want to branch out to multiplayers games whether it be Call of Duty, Overwatch, Dead by Daylight, Fortnite, FFXIV and the list can go on and on. But where can we find teammates? Irl friends are always the go to but, if you’re the only gamer in your field finding teammates can be scarce.

New gaming app to help connect you to a world of teammates for multiplayer games.

I was contacted by the Head of Growth of a new app called eBlitz. A new gaming app created Nov of 2021. What does eBlitz have to offer in the gaming world and how does this solve your problem of not having teammates?

The app is designed to help gamers find non-toxic gaming buddies/teammates to play with in a single swipe, for all their favorite multiplayer games!

Robert Luke Elden- Head of Growth, eBlitz Ltd

The gaming world just got a little bit easier, well in terms of finding teammates. The app can be found in the Apple and Google play stores.

iOS – bit.ly/eblitzios Android – bit.ly/eblitzandroid

The app runs very smooth and holds a lot of information for you to connect to the right teammate for your needs. As a simple swipe & match that helps you find reliable teammates. Have the openness to chat with them before you play so you can see how you mesh in conversation and go over how you expect to play the game and what you expect out of your teammates. Because let’s face it, sometimes you just want to have fun and play the game win or lose and then you may be a little bit more competitive and need your teammates to match that same energy.

Check out the players profiles and what they have to offer before you invite them to teamup

When creating your account, you start off by picking the games that you want to find teammates for. The only gripe I have with it is that it limits you to only 5 games. As a variety gamer I have a range of games in my library and depending on my mood and what friends I have, I definitely saw more than 5 games that I wanted to add. But I stuck with the top 5 games I probably play more during the week.

A great addition to the app is you can set up your own schedule showing the times and days you are most available to play. This well stop from having to give people bad news that you can’t play with them because of your personal schedule or any other issue that keeps you from playing. It could also make you a hot commodity after they see your stats and then people may align their schedules with yours to get that time to play with you.

Let’s take to the founder and get to know a little bit more about eBlitz.

Arron Wu-eBlitz Ltd

What made you create and start eBlitz?

Gaming has always been something I’d rather do with friends, and as Covid started, hanging out over games became much more frequent. Matching availability with my friends was notoriously difficult, so I often found myself needing someone to play with.

The experience was highly frustrating. The in-game match systems rarely delivered a real conversation and people just did their own things (or shouted abuse at each other). I also tried a variety of team finder platforms, and they invariably tended to be very time consuming (e.g. discovering groups, sending multiple posts in different groups) or I simply did not fit in (I enjoy winning but I would not call myself a competitive player).

So, I asked myself – why isn’t there a solution where people can instantly play together and have a good time? I went on to talk with a lot of gamers, and I was surprised by the amount of people facing the exact same predicament as I did! We then created a prototype of how we imagine matching should work, and I have never played COD Mobile or Fortnite in silence again!

Where are you sitting at right now with downloads to the app?

We’ve recently just hit over 120k downloads (in 4 months) and we’re growing every day!

How many work on this app or are you at this alone?

We have a team of 7 talented team members across product design, engineering and marketing at the moment. I am very fortunate to have found such a team of passionate believers in the eBlitz mission. We have come a very long way since the first private beta, and we are continuing to put out new updates every week to respond to user feedback, this would not be possible without extraordinarily hard work from the team.

Are you a gamer yourself?

I definitely had some of the happiest childhood memories with gaming: the weekend afternoons in the arcade playing Tekken, the detours after school for some LAN sessions on Counter Strike or Red Alert, and connecting our Game Boys (still physical cables back then!) for some Mario Karts during lunch breaks.

The multiplayer games now are all online and more global than ever, yet I felt it frequently makes the feeling of ‘togetherness’ harder to come by. Therefore a big part of my motivation is to recreate that simple happy feeling by focusing on how people connect and play together. What made the arcade and LAN parties special are still heartwarming to everyone, we just need to express them in a new way.

Do the gamers put in their game stats or does it connect to said games/accounts for them?

We are believers in minimizing efforts, so stats should be automated, it does mean we don’t have a lot of stats for now (we don’t have official connections with a lot of games yet). We are having an exciting pipeline of discussions with game developers about integration though, so hopefully this is something we can change soon!

The app coordinators already show a taking to listening to the users of the app. They have just added a new update that lets you message a new potential partner 2 times before you get a response. Right there on the app the state.

You have asked for this many times, now you have it…

Gamers have gone mobile

If I am not a real gamer then what am I? A real gamer. A REAL gamer? What is that exactly? I’m sure there are some minds out there right now giving us their scientific, professional answer. Let’s face it, it’s made up; if you play video games for hobby and/or sport on consoles, pc… phones. Welcome to the gamers family.

Rewind… Did I say phone? Oh yeah, and I just saw some head turns. Smartphones are becoming a one stop essential device in today’s tech world. I saw and still see photographers using phones with even adapter lenses saving them hundreds, vloggers are utilizing the same phone cameras to record their days, video editors having more and much cheaper access to editing apps. Now gamers are starting to game and even compete on the go.

Smartphone games aren’t just Candy Crush, Solitaire and Snake anymore. You can find card games such as Teppin or WWE supercard. Our popular FPS games with Call of Duty mobile and Fortni…. Wait, oh nevermind. Dead by Daylight mobile I am looking at you. Following with a growth in RPG’s with Raid Shadow legends. Why should we stop gaming at just consoles and pc? They have a big enough battle between the two; if we love gaming why don’t we embrace and welcome where and who we are branching out to?

If people can’t afford a pc or console, well they can most likely afford a phone and the slew of games that come with it. Oh the app store is a glorious rabbit hole of  a place.

Play Raid Shadow Legends on your smartphone

Talk/text, game, watch tv, browse the web. Why do I even have all of these other devices in my house? Gaming on your phone does come with some of its own challenges. If you have ever gamed on the PS Vita or Nintendo Switch, it will not be the same. Phones are smaller and thus far will cause some major hand cramping. Then you have to master the touch screen; trying to run, crouch, shoot… cha cha real smooth now. It’s a hassle and frustration.

So how can we keep growth in mobile gaming development? I am so glad you asked; phone controllers. I have seen and used a range of different types of controllers and add ons to phones and they have made gaming on mobile easier. Some took batteries; this didn’t last long. Some opted for Bluetooth hook up; naw. Then you have ones were you docked your phone and well this just isn’t very mobile now is it. We come to a brand new gaming controller that has my eyes and I hope yours as well.

Introducing the Razer Kishi for smartphones. My first glimpse of this I want it; it brings depth to the phone, I can utilize my entire screen without my own hands getting in the way and I am used to using a Nintendo Switch which it definitely mimics with a bit of the Xbox controller placement and size.

Features

  • Tactile feedback
  • Clickable analog thumb-sticks
  • Bumper and trigger buttons
  • D-pad
  • Connects directly to device through the charging point
  • Speaker & charge port hook up
  • Universal stretch and clamp fit
  • Convertible for storage

I didn’t realize how much I wanted an easier way to game on my phone until I saw this. Don’t be in a panic and think it’s just for one style of phone operating system. You can choose from the platforms of Android, Android (Xbox) and the iPhone.

Call of Duty Mobile takes over

Mobile gaming is starting to sweep across the nation, countries and regions. In this case it is not just any mobile game but Call of Duty: Mobile.

Call of Duty Mobile came out for IOS and Androids Sept. 9th, 2019; published by Activision and developed by Tencent Games. This app is preparing for Call of Duty Modern Warfare that is coming out later in October of 2019. Many are so excited that they couldn’t wait to play something new coming form the companies and it definitely shows.

Call of Duty Mobile has just hit #1 app ranking on IOS in over 100 counties and regions and there have been over 35 million downloads across Google play and App store combined. There have been almost 3 million matches since its release. Man oh man what will day one for the game across consoles/pc look like. Then again this app is free so those who can’t afford the game have free shot to take over this platform.

Call of Duty: Mobile has almost hit over 3 millions matches played.

In Call of Duty Mobile, if you are a regular player you will notice maps and characters as many have been taken from other COD games.

Maps: Crash, Nuketown 2, Hijacked, Firing range, Kill House and Crossfire

Characters: John Price, David Mason, Alex Mason, Simon “Ghost” Riley and Thomas Merrick.

Take to Twitter and see what fans are saying about the new mobile game:

Call of Duty Mobile is actually incredible. I didn’t expect to get addicted to it as much as I have but there’s so much depth and thought out design to it. Plus the fact that they’ve pulled in classic COD maps from across the ENTIRE franchise. Treyarch & IW classics Together.

@fourzerotwo

It feels like I never left. Call of Duty Mobile is insane!!!

@Lil_Quesadillaa

Mobile Overwatch…Anime…Style???

I have always asked the gaming gods to help me out and give me Overwatch mobile so I can kill time when I’m waiting at doctor’s appointments or maybe even those long lines at Wal-mart.

Tencent Games have answered those prayers with a slight twist. Ace Force is the Overwatch inspired anime shooter that was released Aug 13th in China. It can be found on Android and IOS… but has not exactly been released globally but we will be frantically checking the app store regularly.

Overwatch has been around since 2016 and has gotten quite the fan base with over 40mill players across various platforms. In Ace Force, you will find characters that have similar fighting styles and ultimate moves as the ones we love in Overwatch. Many find this to be just rip off to Overwatch.. Well then lets start labeling all the ones that came after Fortnite that could be rip offs but… they appeal more to others than … that one.

In a nutshell anime appeals to the Asian based crowds a lot better than Overwatch, and that is not just coming from me. Check out that last reveal video from Daniel Ahmad on his twitter.

He even said it right there; if Overwatch finally made it to mobile. And rumor has it, the day they released was a huge success. Ace Force offers playing modes from King of the Hill, Invasion, Team Deathmatch and… Barking Royale???

All we can do here in the states, and everywhere else that is not China, is keep an eye out for that global release.

Now that Overwatch has come to the switch will more people be gearing up to get it on the switch as well as having an OW style game come to mobile will more people be jumping onto the game with more consoles/locations to play? Let us know in the comments if you’ll be snagging up this mobile game.
